Introduction

The police and other agencies have always been interested used to screen for narcotics or identify drags and there contaminants, especially analysers that are small enough to be earned around by hand and used by non stilled staff.

To meet this need we have introduced to the market a new sub compact analyser that will do just that and at the same time provide an immediate screening capability for ninny known street drugs and there possible contaminants

This remarkable new analyser called DASI short for drug analysis spectra identification exploits the Raman effect, which is similar to light scattering excepting that unlike other instruments this analyser measures just a few centimetres long and is completely portable. Although DA5I is very small it can perform a formidable variety of measurements on just about any sample in any phase.

In fact DASI provides the possibility to revolutionise drug identification and provide government agencies with a powerful analyser that can be used by anyone. For a complete drugs identification simply place the unknown 3ubstance which can be a pill, powder, gel or liquid close to the small probe supplied with DASI and click a go button. In just a few seconds the analysis is completed and results compared to a look up library of data incorporated into the instruments data base. It's as simple as that.

Each analysis takes just a matter of a few seconds and there are no computers to worn' about. Libraries of known drags and other pharmaceutical products can also be supplied although most users or agencies might prefer to develop there own data libraries and this feature has already been incorporated into the instruments software. DASI can also be used for a lot of other applications as well as those listed and will find a home as a qualify control tool, in pharmaceuticals . environmental, petrochemicals, medical and military applications.
